BACKSTORY: Too much raccoon noise in the attic! Time to install a built-in ladder, so that we can get up into the attic in 60 seconds to scare away any animals before they decide to move in again. Project cost exceeded 0 and involved 5+ Home Depot trips.

The style of painting on the ladder is inspired by what you used to see on cross-Channel ferries in the 60s. And cross North Sea ferries of the 70s and 80s. Thick thick thick.

The cats were all interested in the ladder. Oranjello can climb the normal ladder, but the attic ladder is too steep for him to get up.
